Working closely with the in-house design team, copywriters and Glenn himself, we established two main drivers for the site: to demonstrate the gravitas of a body of work spanning over a quarter of a century, and to give a greater sense of what it is like to work with GHA – not just as a client, but also as potential member of the team.
Prior to the redesign, the GHA website sat firmly within the zeitgeist of architecture portfolio sites circa the last five years: constrained within a small fixed-width frame, housing small, cramped images and even smaller text.
We sought to open the site up to the extents of the browser, allowing large-format images to sing.
We created a layout-builder for project pages, so the team can decide how best to lay out their portfolio based on the content they have available, as one would with print medium, rather than conforming to a rigid template.
