Put frankly, the last few months have been disastrous and highly stressful for everyone working in Arts and Culture. As cases of Covid-19 rise again, and venues face sustained closure, friends and colleagues continue to go through consultation periods facing redundancy.

The UK government announced a £1.57 billion support package in July, however as organisations are yet to receive this support, for many, it is now too late.

There have been many reflections, opinion-based and expert articles from performance pundits summarising the state of The Arts, the response and proposals for how our industry might survive and navigate its way through the closure and pivoted offerings.

This isn’t intended to be another.

What this is intended to be is a summary of the available funds still open to applications. An indication that there are still some funding sources available.

We can help

We are always happy to chat about digital projects, budgets and what to include within funding applications. We’ve had numerous conversations since the various packages of funding have been made available. If you want to chat about your project or application, we are happy to help and advise. Get in touch by emailing team@substrakt.com

Through prolonged closure, your website remains the primary means to connect with your audience, to present your organisation, your adapted workshops, newly commissioned socially distanced works, curated archival content and keep connecting people and art at a time when they need it most.

There is still funding available

Though some applications are now closed, including Arts Council England and Arts Council of Wales Cultural Recovery Funds, there are still some funds available. I hope that this summary is useful for anyone looking for other funding options as a summary of some that are available. If you have any you want to add to this list, please get in touch!
